Art – Adoration of the Magi by Leonardo da Vinci

Painted by Leonardo in his early years, Adoration of the Magi (1481) has recently returned home to the Uffizi gallery, after undergoing six years of restoration. In 2011 the painting was removed from the gallery and placed in the very capable hands of the  Opificio delle Pietro Due – Florence’s most important restoration institute. After an intricate cleaning and restoration process, the painting was able to return back to the Uffizi and is now on show in the current exhibition Il Cosimo Magico di Leonardo da Vini, where the painting takes all the limelight, alongside similarly themed works.
